NCC bans all promotions by telecom operators

The Nigerian Communication Commission has banned all promotions andlotteries being run by telecommunications network operators in the country.

The commission, in a statement on Monday, cited overwhelming consumer complaints as the main reason for its action.

The ban, which takes immediate effect, affects Globacom, MTN, Intercellular Nigeria Plc, Visafone, Etisalat, Airtel Networks Limited and MultiLinks Telecoms Limited.

MTN donates N500,000 to one year old boy shot by armed robbers

Telecom giant MTN has made a dontion of N500,000 [which is the amount needed for treatment] to a one year old Taiwo Lawal who was shot by robbers in Gbagada on Sunday 9th. The money was paid into the baby's family account yesterday. All thanks to them.
