Contrary to Alhaji Bamaga Tukur's last two announcements that he's still National Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan, has openly announced to members of NEC that Alhaji Tukur has resigned from his job. President Jonathan officially handed the resignation letter to the National Secatary of the party with member of the executive committee of the party all in support of the resignation.
According to Punch report, as soon as the announcement was made by President Jonathan, the present crowd all clapped in acceptance with President Jonathan further instructing Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross Rivers State to move the motion for the acceptance of Tukur's resignation.
