B-Red calls it quits with Davido's HKN label

First was the gist of Jesse Jags calling it quits with his brother's record label (Chocolate City), now its B-Red parting ways with Davido...and am wondering whose next?

According to LeadershipNG, B-Red has reportedly walked out of HKN, a record label owned by Davido and his elder brother, Wale Adeleke. The reason for his departure is being attributed to a heated argument which led to a serious fight between B-Red (Bayo Adeleke), his brother Shina Rambo (Shina Adeleke) and Davido a month ago at their Atlanta home in US.

The fight is reported to have caused by the fact that Shina Rambo and B-Red...who are sons of  the elder brother of Davido's father...are not happy with the way the label has been neglecting their music career which they say, hasn't been given much attention.

I also gather that B-Red has even gone on to sign a deal with another music label - D'Ark Entertainment, which will now be in charge of handling his musical career.

So much for family loyalty!

Forbes top five richest artistes for 2013

1. Diddy - $580 million: The bulk of the Bad Boy Records founder’s wealth comes from non-musical ventures, namely his deal with Diageo’s Ciroc. The agreement entitles him to eight-figure annual payouts and a nine-figure windfall if the brand is ever sold—and Ciroc’s value has never been higher

2. Jay Z - $475 million: He’s still rolling in cash from megadeals like his $204 million Rocawear sale in 2007 and his $150 million pact with Live Nation the following year. He continues to hold stakes in Roc Nation, Carol’s Daughter, the Brooklyn Nets and, more significantly, the Barclays Center itself, while adding new partnerships with the likes of Duracell, Budweiser and Bacardi’s D’ussé Cognac

See the last three after the cut...

2face, D'banj, Banky W & P-square makes Africa's top ten riches artistes

                         Africa Richest
According to Africa Answers, Tuface, BankyW, D'Banj and PSquare are among Africa's Ten Wealthiest Artistes. In their list,  BankyW was placed at number 9, 2Face Idibia got their 7th position, D'Banj came 3rd while PSquare was placed 2nd after Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour who topped the list.
About their earning, AfricaAnswers wrote that:

  • PSquare makes more than $150,000 per show. Their Squareville which is located at Ikeja is worth $3 million and as part of their brand support, they also have a 3 years deal with Globalcom; a Nigerian telecommunication company as brand ambassadors where they are paid a million dollars a year.
  • D banj, they said, made $1 million dollars when he was paid by a T.V station to star on his own reality show called the Koko Mansion. He has a crib in Atlanta worth of $1.5 million and reportedly charges on the upside of $100000 per show currently.
  • Tuface has a vast investment in real estate across Nigeria, earns around $50k to $80k per show and owns a night club in Nigeria just to name a few.
  • For Banky W, they wrote he has been a brand ambassador for Etisalat mobile in Nigeria and is currently the face for Samsung products in the West African nation. Out of his generous heart, Banky W has started off Mr Capable foundation; an education charity organization with the aim to aid in the education of children from poor families.
Interesting list...nice place except that I don't get how D'banj was placed ahead of 2baba. Or guys, do you totally agree with this list?
