Queen Latifah all set to open up on being a lesbian - National Enquirer

                 
Now here is one gist am not yet sure of its authenticity (...and which I really hope ain't true) as its been reported by National Enquirer (as they might not be a reputable Hollywood news source). But according to them, it seem 43 year old Dana Elaine Owens popularly known as Queen Latifah may be gearing up to open up to being a lesbian.

According to them, the talk show host disclosed to friends that 53 year old "Good Morning America" host, Robin Robert, who took to her facebook in December to open up to being gay is her source of inspiration for her to want to come out of the closet. The source stated:

Latifah never wanted to be labeled a gay spokesperson or role model – that’s why she’s never come out. Her sexuality has been one of Hollywood’s biggest non-secrets for
years, but since Robin came out she’s been thinking long and hard about doing the same. 

Latifah always wanted to keep her private life out of the spotlight, even though she’s never hidden her girlfriends from her close friends and family. She’s performed at gay pride festivals, so in her eyes she doesn’t need to make a statement.  

But deep down inside she knows that going public, like her friend Robin did, will go a long way toward furthering public acceptance of lesbians and gays.”
