Well, here is a detailed account of what happened as well as picture of his mutilated and decomposed remains which was released to the family after paying the N8 million ransom demanded of them.

Charlyboy's cousin, Emeka, was a business tycoon who also had series of hotels in Imo state. Reports have it that Emeka was forcefully taken away from one of his hotels by some unknown gunmen on February 24th 2013. Along the line, Aseme's family happen to make contact with the abductors who demanded a ransom of N8 million for him to be released which was paid, but Emeka was not released. On the 9th of March, the abductees made contact with the diseased younger brother and directed him to go to Okwonji (a community between Owerri and Oguta), only to get there and find his brother's decomposing body in a bush path with the sexual organ, eye, and heart missing.
