Earlier today, the broadcasting regulatory autority known as the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) suspended the licence of Wazobia FM, Kano branch for airing an Hausa programme that instigated the killing of at least 10 polio vacinators. According to reports, gunmen attacked two polio clinics in Kano on February 8, killing at least 10 people, after Wazobia FM broadcast a story reviving claims that the vaccines are part of a Western plot to harm Muslims.
