UPDATE: Police arrest five over Toyin Hamzat's assasination

I brought you a story yesterday on Toyin Hamzat, former chairman of Ikeja LGA who was murdered on his way home from a party in the early hours of yesterday morning, but in case you missed that, go Here.

In a recent development, five persons have been arrested by the police in connection with Mr. Hamzat's murder. According to report, it was discovered that he just drouped off a female companion in front of her house at about 9pm before his was rounded by the gunmen and shot.

His female companion said the vehicle the assailants used was likely to belong to her estranged husband. She also said there was a time the husband visited her and met Hamzat with her.

The suspects are currently being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta. The woman's husband is one of the suspects arrested.
