Australian Open: Serena Williams pulls through to second round

Serena Williams sure is one hell of a power house! The American despite incurring an ankle injury while on the court, went on to defeat her opponent, Edina Gallovits-Hall 6-0 6-0 to secure her place in the next round. Williams won the Melbourne title in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010 and a sixth victory would see her return to the number one spot in the world rankings. Meanwhile, world number one, Victoria Azarenka has also reserved her place in the second round after dispatching Monica Niculescu 6-1 6-4 in her opening match.
