Senegal vs Ivory Coast drama turned into chaos

Serious drama which turned into chaos followed Senegal vs Ivory Coast match yesterday after Ivorian striker Didier Drogba made the goal line 2 - 0 in favour of the Ivorians in the 72nd minute of the game.

The match was officially abandoned in the 76th minute when local fans invaded the pitch setting newspaper and Senegal's flag on fire to create clouds of smoke that turned the atmospher at the facility smoky and suffocating, which the referee judged unsafe to continue the encounter.

The match which was interrupted during the last quarter and never resumed, with the match commissioner declaring Cote d'ivoire the winner of the encounter on 2-0.

About 30 persons including Senegalese sports minister El Hadji Malick Gakou have been reported injured after riot broke out during the 2013 Africa cup of nations qualifier in Dakar.
