National Universities Commission (NUC) yesterday suspended the operational licenses of seven private universities in Nigeria for allegedly violating the commission's guildline on school facilities and academic programmes.
The suspended universities are: Caritas University, Lead City University, Madonna University, Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Tansian University, Achievers University and Obong University.
NUC says the suspension placed on the above mentioned universities will be lifted as soon as the schools comply with the commission's stipulated guildlines.
