Check this out...Bruce Campbell of Portland has converted a Boeing 727 Jet into a home. He acquired the Jet for $100,000 from Olympic Airways in Greece at the end of it's flying life. He had it flown in from Athens to Oregon and then towed it from there to his land.
According to Campbell: 'Aircraft are flying homes for people. They stay in the sky sometimes for 12 to 14 hours at a time and people have to eat and use the toilet and do almost anything else we do normally...and all of this facilities are in there. They're built along with lighting climate control. What am trying to demonstrate is that the conversion process can be really very simple and straight forward. If people want something (inside) different, they can always redecorate.'
Now that's one dude that sure knows savings with comfort cos the average cost of housing or owning a home in USA is $186,000 and getting a plane for $100,000 to serve same purpose ain't a bad idea...if for anything, it sets you APART!
