B-Red calls it quits with Davido's HKN label

                   
First was the gist of Jesse Jags calling it quits with his brother's record label (Chocolate City), now its B-Red parting ways with Davido...and am wondering whose next?

According to LeadershipNG, B-Red has reportedly walked out of HKN, a record label owned by Davido and his elder brother, Wale Adeleke. The reason for his departure is being attributed to a heated argument which led to a serious fight between B-Red (Bayo Adeleke), his brother Shina Rambo (Shina Adeleke) and Davido a month ago at their Atlanta home in US.

The fight is reported to have caused by the fact that Shina Rambo and B-Red...who are sons of  the elder brother of Davido's father...are not happy with the way the label has been neglecting their music career which they say, hasn't been given much attention.

I also gather that B-Red has even gone on to sign a deal with another music label - D'Ark Entertainment, which will now be in charge of handling his musical career.

So much for family loyalty!

Mikel Obi & younger brother sets up record label

 

Na wa o! This days, everyone wants a piece of the music/entertainment industry. Yesterday was Tonto Dikeh revealing that she will drop her song...now it's John Mikel Obi's turn. The Chelsea midfielder along with his younger brother Patrick Obi seem to have ventured into music as they unveiled their own record label which they call MMM ( Matured Money Minds)...hmmm. The label seem to doing good already as it has signed artistes such as: Charass, Kido, Edgar and Splash.

May D starts own record label

Some weeks ago we all heard the news of Square Records parting ways with fast rising star May D from their record rebel. The gist of course generated lots of controversy starting with May D stating that he had no knowledge of that development. Next was the news of May D stating that he just might take Square Records to court.

Latest gist now is that the "Ile-Ijo" crooner-MayD has come up with his own label - Confam Entertainment. When asked how many others are presently signed to the label, the singer replies: “It’s just me now, I have some girl from UK but I’m still watching”.
