The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has shut down the school following the riot which the student embarked on yesterday upon the refusal of the institute's VC to re-open the school's registration portal for about 1292 students who are yet to register.
The shut down decision was contained in a special bulletin dated 23 January 2014 and titled LASU management closes university indefinitely. The bulletin reads:
“In the wake of the violent protest by some affected students of Lagos State UniversityWith this decision, students are expected to vacate the university premises until further notice”.
(LASU) over the closure of the university portal for registration of courses for rain semester 2012/2013 examination, the university management has decided to shut down the university indefinitely. Also, examinations have been put off till further notice.
