Security officials in Plateau State have discovered 50 burnt bodies in the home of a pastor in Matse village in Riyom Local Government area. Some of the bodies found are burnt beyond recognition were found in the home of a pastor of the Church of Christ in Nigeria (COCIN) and sources say the bodies belong to people who ran into the pastors home for safety as Fulani gunmen surrounded and attacked the area on Sunday morning.
About 20 people were killed in the riot in nine villages in Barkin Local Govt Aea of the state that same Sunday and following today's attack during a mass burial for those victims were some gunmen in millitary uniform attacked and killed mourners including a Senator, a House of Representative member and Plateau State Assemblyman at the burial site, Govt has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew as means of ensuring order in the state.
