The album/music concert that launched 2face's new album 'Away & Beyond' tagged ''Buckwyld N Breathless'' has come and gone. The event which took place at the Eko Convention Center, still has new details emerging.
A certain gist has it that his PR team didn't pay much attention to creating publicity for the event with regards to the general public and not just the music community. They probably assumed that going with 2face's popularity, everyone will gladly tag along with anything that has to do with the singer. Although the event took place on a Monday, the day after was declared a public holiday, still the massive hall was so scanty as people didn't turn up as expected.
Latest news now is that, the cost of putting together the whole event is more than N40m which cover logistics such as Publicity, Stage design, dancers, costumes, live band etc. The event as i gather was sponsored by Airtel, and supported by some others.
Now, the big question - Is N40m too much or ok to launch a 2face's album
