A 13-year-old girl, Precious Edu, has accused the brother-in law of her employer of pouring hot water on her.

Edu, who said she was denied the opportunity of attending school after she was brought to work with Esther Amunde and her brother-in-law, Papa, in Calabar, Cross River State, said Papa poured the water on her after accusing her of splashing water on him.

She said after the hot water left some burns on her neck, shoulder and chest, she was left to wallow in pains for two days until neighbours took her to the hospital for medical attention.

It's no longer news of what befell some students of Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Adamawa State on Monday 1st of October. Student hostel outside the school premises was reported to have been raided by unknown gunmen who ended up killing more than 20 students. As at yesterday, students were reported to have started leaving the school for fear of another attack. All these has led to the closure of the school.

Uzo Uzuah allegedly shot dead just 5days after his wedding

Ugo Uzuah who got married last Saturday September 15, 2012, was on Thursday allegedly shot by men of the police force in front of the UPS office on the Gbagada Express way. He latter died in the hospital on Saturday 22nd, 2012... barely a week after his marriage.

Although details of what went down on Thursday that led to the shot are sketchy, but according to the late businessman's friends, he was said to be at the Express way trying to wave down a taxi around 9pm when policemen pulled up beside him and shot him twice on the chest at close range. According to them, he was not resisting arrest, he wasn't arguing with the police, he was not asked to identify himself, he was just standing there with a friend and got killed for no reason.  

In a statement, the Inspector General of police said that those that killed the newly married man were not men of the police force and am wondering...who then might they be?

Man caught selling vultures as roasted chicken

This is really disgusting...came by this story and decided to share it with you guys...especially those in Port Harcourt and for those of us who are not there, we should take a lesson or two from this story.

This Hausa chicken seller was caught trapping vultures in Onne, Port Harcourt after which he roast them and then sells them as suya meat to unsuspecting customers.

If your wondering why he did this, his excuse was that real chicken were expensive...so he took to trapping vultures and selling the to buyers as chicken meat. 

Na wa o! One has to be really careful of what one buys to eat these days...vulture meat? God forbid!!!

Porn obsessed man rapes and killes 67 year old neighbor

A porn-obsessed man who spent his days watching obscene, violent internet videos raped and strangled a grandmother in her home. 26 year old Darren Jackson, broke into 67 year old Irene Lawless house at night, and attacked her after searching websites for ‘mature women’. After entering her bungalow through a small front window, he raped her twice and strangled her to death, leaving her naked body wedged between the bed and a wall.

'Police looked at his internet searches and discovered a keen interest in websites dealing with rape, mature women, forceful oral sex and sex with sleeping women.

Jackson was today jailed for life with a recommendation he is not considered for parole for 28 years.

The life of a 12 year old boy who killed his 2 year old brother

The first thing that came to my mind when I came across this story is how possible is it that a 12 year old could commit all these crimes, but after reading the whole story and getting to know the kind of family in which he came from...I can't help but understand were the young guy is coming from. His mom was just 12 years old when she had him. She was sexually abused by his 25 year old father who received 10 years probation for the crime.

When he was 2 years old, he was found wondering the streets naked at 4am close to the motel where his grand-mom who takes care of him was surrounded by cocaine and he was taken to a foster home along with his mom.

Man sets lover ablaze in Ikotun

What in the world will ever make a man pick up fuel, pour on another man and set him/her on fire? Some say robbery is enough to make one do such a thinh. but I ask, in a case of people who are in a sexual relationship, what can make one party have such idea...not to talk of actually carrying it out on his or her partner? That was the case of the lady in this report.

A lady identified as Janet Udegba, yesterday narrated her story of how her live-in-lover, Mr. Kehinde Adesamuye poured fuel on her and set her ablaze in Ikotun area of Lagos State. She said she was at the junction where she normally carryout her business of selling cooked indomine before Kehinde came that night and set her ablaze. She went on to plead with Nigerians not to allow Kehinde go scout free with what he has done to her.

Man caught with dead baby in a suite case in Abuja

Full details are yet to be released, but the story is that the man in the picture above was caught yesterday at Tipper garage near Gwarimpa in Abuja with a dead baby's corpse in a suite case. They said he was arrested based on tip off, but another source said that the conductor of the bus he entered got suspicious of the man when he asked him to bring the case to be properly stored in the booth of the vehicle and he immediately refused. The suspicious conductor went on to ask him what he had in the case, he refused to say. When he trued to leave the bus, the conductor along with the passengers on board held him, opened the case and found the dead baby inside.

Female robber caught in Abuja

She led a gang of robber to rob a female passenger, but luck ran out on her as some witness and sympathizer around  the scene of robbery quickly mobilized and caught up with her, rescuing the victim who was later identified as Obiageli.

This lady was apprehended among the five people that were involved in the robbery cos she thought her phonetics could help save her from the angry sympathizers while the others escaped.

This incident happened at Area 11 Traffic Light where they were held in traffic as they were been chased and inside the Ash coloured Nissan sunny were loads of ATM cards, passports of various persons, and her hand bag contain many phones.
