Jaimie Alexander seriously injured on set

Actress Jaimie Alexander has been seriously injured on the set of superhero movie sequelThor: The Dark World. The 28-year-old - who plays warrior goddess Lady Sif in the Marvel Studios films - has claimed that she was lucky not to be paralysed after the incident on set in London.

She tweeted: "Today I sustained a pretty horrible injury. I'm lucky I'm not paralysed. Thank you (with all of my heart) to those who've looked after me.

"Already in recovery mode and my spirits are high. I'll be back kicking ass as Lady Sif in no time! It can only get better from here on out."

May D starts own record label

Some weeks ago we all heard the news of Square Records parting ways with fast rising star May D from their record rebel. The gist of course generated lots of controversy starting with May D stating that he had no knowledge of that development. Next was the news of May D stating that he just might take Square Records to court.

Latest gist now is that the "Ile-Ijo" crooner-MayD has come up with his own label - Confam Entertainment. When asked how many others are presently signed to the label, the singer replies: “It’s just me now, I have some girl from UK but I’m still watching”.

Wiz Kid part ways with manager

After five years of working together, Wiz Kid and his manager Osagie Osarenkhoe of M.et.al management finally part ways. According to inside source, the two ended their relationship in June but tried to keep it away from the press. Osarenkhoe still has a working relationship with other EME acts such as Skales, Shaydee and Niyola.

Beyonce alleged to be pregnant

Gist has it that Beyonce is alleged to be pregnant with baby no 2 even though her first daughter Blue Ivy is only eight months. This story started on September 23rd when Beyonce showed up at La Marina restaurant in Washington Heights, NYC wearing a tight leopard print dress, showing off what appears to be a baby bump. According to Hollywood life, Mrs Shawn Carter is believed to be 3 months gone already. When a rep of hers was asked, she simply said: 'I do not comment on her personal life.'

My guess is that...this is another case were time will eventually tell us if Beyonce is indeed pregnant or not.

This happened last night on Monday Night Raw during a six man tag team match. Alberto had him on the mat and pulled off the mask. Although this happened for a brief moment, fans at home as well as few that were sitting on the hard camera side of the arena caught a glimpse of what the face behind the mask looks like. My guess is that probably, we might not get to see him wear the mask again, but we'll have to wait to find out when next he makes an appearance inside the ring.

Rafa Nadal: I will not rush back

Rafa Nadal says his steady recuperation from a knee injury is proceeding according to plan and he is not going to rush back before it has healed properly.

In an interview in Madrid, the 11-times grand slam singles champion said he was still feeling some pain in his left knee and would only return to the court when that was no longer the case.

"I am working as much as I can, I am doing everything they tell me to every day and the truth is that right now things are going well, more or less," the 26-year-old Spaniard said. "The only thing is that I need bit more time," he added.

Strange things are indeed happening this days. Some few weeks ago, I brought you a story of a woman who gave birth to horse and in case you missed that, go Here to read the full account. Similar thing occurred yesterday when a woman delivered a strange baby with a goat like feet and no neck in Jigawa State, Nigeria. The picture that accompanied this story shows a child with no defined facial features, translucent skin around his protruding stomach and feet like goat hoofs.

Not quite long ago words broke out that Atlanta 1996 Olympic gold medalist, now police DPO Chioma Ajunwa gave birth to triplets-two boys and a girl. Now fresh controversy trails the birth of the babies as it believed that the former athlete did not actually deliver the kid, but rather adopted them.

The controversies thronging the birth of the triplets were further compounded following the Divisional Police Officer’s decision to completely stay away from the public after she was delivered of a set of triplets, two boys and a girl.

Her fans and friends, who were happy that she was eventually blessed with a set of triplets after many years of being childless, have not been able to reach her or celebrate with her.
It is said that she has also not surfaced at the Meiran Police Station where she is the DPO. Sources say she is on maternity leave.

Detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Iyaganku have investigated the case of a 28-year-old lady, Ms Kemi Adeoye, who was arrested by policemen from Sanyo Division for stealing a baby in a church during a vigil service on Friday September 7, 2012.

Today marked the official resumption of most schools including public primary and secondary schools...today also marks the beginning of statewide strike by teachers in Lagos State public primary and secondary schools. The teachers are said to have vowed to go on with the strike exercise since the government has refused to meet with their demands.

In case your wondering what the so called demand is...the teacher are simply asking the government for the implementation of the 27.5 percent Teachers Salary Structure (TSS) which was an agreement between the Governors' Forum and the National body of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT).

I really feel for these Civil servants cos it's one thing for them to fight and get their needs met and it's another thing for them to return the said money via tax...didn't say anything o!

7UP senior manager dies while on sex romp

The Human Resources Manager of 7-Up Bottling Company at its Benin City plant, Mr. Sola Mosiko, collapsed and died in a hotel room in Benin City, Edo State, Southsouth Nigeria. Uzo Uzuah allegedly shot dead just 5days after his wedding

Ugo Uzuah who got married last Saturday September 15, 2012, was on Thursday allegedly shot by men of the police force in front of the UPS office on the Gbagada Express way. He latter died in the hospital on Saturday 22nd, 2012... barely a week after his marriage.

Although details of what went down on Thursday that led to the shot are sketchy, but according to the late businessman's friends, he was said to be at the Express way trying to wave down a taxi around 9pm when policemen pulled up beside him and shot him twice on the chest at close range. According to them, he was not resisting arrest, he wasn't arguing with the police, he was not asked to identify himself, he was just standing there with a friend and got killed for no reason.

In a statement, the Inspector General of police said that those that killed the newly married man were not men of the police force and am wondering...who then might they be?

John Terry bows out of England duty over Ferdinand hearing

Former England captain John Terry has announced his retirement from international football. The former national captain is facing an improper conduct charge, the final instalment of his spat with Anton Ferdinand at Loftus Road last October.

He is accused of using "abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour" that "included a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race of Anton Ferdinand". He denies the charge.

Chelsea captain Terry was stripped of the national armband for a second time in his career following the incident, which upset England manager Fabio Capello so much that he resigned on a point of principle.

And with prevailing opinion pointing to the end of his international career should an FA independent panel find him guilty this week, on Sunday evening he took what seems to have been a pre-emptive decision.

Newcastle's Ranger arrested for criminal damage

Police were called to a house in Enfield, north London, in the early hours of Sunday after a report of a disturbance. Scotland Yard said officers arrived at the scene to find the front door of the property badly damaged.

Ranger, 21, was arrested at the scene and was taken to a north-east London police station.

A force spokesman said Ranger, who has recently been on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley, would appear at Enfield Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Man caught selling vultures as roasted chicken

This is really disgusting...came by this story and decided to share it with you guys...especially those in Port Harcourt and for those of us who are not there, we should take a lesson or two from this story.

This Hausa chicken seller was caught trapping vultures in Onne, Port Harcourt after which he roast them and then sells them as suya meat to unsuspecting customers.

If your wondering why he did this, his excuse was that real chicken were expensive...so he took to trapping vultures and selling the to buyers as chicken meat.

Na wa o! One has to be really careful of what one buys to eat these days...vulture meat? God forbid!!!
